OBAFEMI MARTINS AND BALOTELLI'S SISTER WELCOME SON OBAFEMI

Ace footballer Obafemi Martins has welcomed his third child from his third baby mama. Abigail Barwuah, the older sister of Italian footballer Mario Balotelli gave birth to a baby boy on Wednesday October 16th in Italy. 25 year old Abigail, who has been dating Obafemi since 2012, lost the first pregnancy we all reported last year. She was about four months pregnant when she was in Nigeria with Obafemi in December 2012 but lost the baby and got pregnant again almost immediately. The never-before-married Obafemi has a daughter with an African chick he dated in Italy many years ago, he also has a 3 and a half year old son with a white chick he dated while playing in the UK and now a son with Abigail. 2012/2013 SPDC Joint Venture University Scholarship Award Scheme

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Operator of the NNPC/SHELL /TEPN/AGIP Joint Venture) Scholarship Scheme offers first year students in all Nigerian universities the opportunity to study with an annual grant from the SPDC JV for the full duration of their course. The programme aims to promote academic excellence and improve the skills-base among young Nigerians. WHO CAN APPLY? Students must be citizens of Nigeria, Currently enrolled in a first degree programme at an accredited and approved university in Nigeria, and Must have gained admission during the 2012/2013 academic session. SCHOLARSHIP TYPES The Scholarship is in two categories - the National Merit Award (NM) and the Areas of Operation Merit Award, East or West (OE or OW). National Merit Award (NM) Open to Nigerians who are not indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas (in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Delta, Imo and Rivers States). Areas of Operation Merit Award, East (OE) For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Imo, Rivers and Bayelsa states (excluding indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama local government areas). Areas of Operation Merit Award, West (OW) For Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational area in Bayelsa (i.e indigenes of Ekeremor and Sagbama Local Government areas) and Delta States. NYSC To Pay Virgins 50,000 Naira As Monthly Allowance

It’s good news for Virgins who are currently partaking in this year’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program as President Goodluck Jonathan through the NYSC Director General, Brig. Gen. Nnamdi Okorie-Affia has just announced that, instead of N19,800, Virgin Corps Members will be receiving N50,000 as monthly allowance. The President said it was an incentive for “Girls to keep themselves for their husbands” and also as a way of congratulating girls who “managed to keep their hymens intact in such a trying times as we have today”. So far, only 28 girls nation-wide have been confirmed as virgins and have recieved their 1st N50,000 allowance. Pharmacies have also reported a 234% increase in demand for Alum, Vagina tighteners and Hymen Reforming creams and drugs. Boys have also protested, saying Male Virgin Corps Members also deserve N50k, but the NYSC says there’s no way to confirm that. Some girls also protested at NYSC Headquarters this morning, claiming they were virgins up until Camp Fire night, so they should qualify to receive the N50k. Their pleas have fallen on deaf ears so far.

Temple stampede leaves 89 dead in India

A stampede outside a temple in central India killed at least 89 people Sunday, authorities said. The incident occurred on a bridge over the Sindh River while pilgrims were headed to the temple for a Hindu festival. "The death toll could go much higher as about 25,000 people were present on the bridge at that time," said D.K. Arya, a local deputy police inspector. A rumor that the bridge was about to collapse caused panicked people to stampede, police told CNN sister network CNN-IBN. Many people jumped off the bridge into the river, Arya said.
